Maximum Ascent Rate should be 9 m per min, suggests new research
A new study has investigated the presence of cerebral lesions in SCUBA divers with no symptions. Experienced scuba divers, over 40 years of age, without any decompression sickness history were included. Researchers found a significant relationship between the lesions of the central nervous system and ascent rate faster than 10 meters per minute, but none down to age, number of dives or depth of dives.
